Anatomy and Physiology Chapter 1 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology Chapter 1 Test
**Chapter 1 Test requires you add in a picture of an animal cell (that you either draw or copy and paste in) to allow for different organelles to be labeled by the student.**

Chapter 1 Optional DNA project

Anatomy and Physiology Chapter 1 Edible Cell Project “Guide Sheet”
This “Guide Sheet” is just to go along with the Edible Cell project at the end of Chapter 1. It contains which candy is which organelle, and a brief description of what each organelle does, to have it handy.

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 2 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 2 Test

**Please note that for this test a couple of pictures need to be added.**

Questions 15-17 require a picture of the internal bone structure from page 41 with the different layers labeled with the question numbers. I chose to just draw this picture.

Questions 25-31 require a skeleton with bones marked with the question numbers that your child has to label. I took the picture of the skeleton for this test from an Apologia PDF file for the course notebook posted on their website here. It’s to the right of the book picture, obviously labeled “Course Notebook,” and you can just open it and print out the single page of the skeleton if you so choose.

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 4 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 4 Test

Note that the Chapter 4 test requires two different diagrams, one of a tooth and one of the digestive system, for questions 24-32. These are easily found online with a quick search. Also, the answer to the bonus question (peristalsis) is NOT in the book.

Anatomy and Physiology Chapter 5 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology Chapter 5 Test

As always, you need to add to the Chapter 5 test file by pasting in a diagram and a photo.
Problems 24-26 require a diagram of a wheat grain, allowing for its three basic parts to be labeled, and the bonus question requires a photo of malachite, much like the one in the book.

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 6 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 6 Test
**The Chapter 6 Test requires a picture of the respiratory system included with it, with parts numbered for problems 21-25 so your child can label them.**

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 7 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 7 Test

**The Chapter 7 test requires a diagram for questions 18-22. The diagram for these questions is the diagram on page 122 in the section titled, “Capillaries.”

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 8 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 8 Test

**The Chapter 8 test requires a diagram for labeling different parts of the heart for questions 23-28. You can use the diagram found on the book website (mentioned in the beginning of the book), or find one better suited to your needs elsewhere online.

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 9 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 9 Test

Note that for the Lesson 9 Test, Questions 23-30 require diagrams for labeling. For this I actually used a sheet I found online HERE that has a diagram of the brain and “nerve cell.” (The book refers to it as a “neuron cell.”)

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 10 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 10 Test

For the Chapter 10 Test, questions 16-29 require a diagram of the brain (one showing the 4 lobes of the cerebrum) for identification.

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 11 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 11 Test

For the Chapter 11 Test, questions 30-35 require a diagram of the eye for part identification.

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 12 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 12 Test

**Note that the Chapter 12 Test requires a diagram showing the layers of a strand of hair for Questions 20-22, and a diagram showing the different layers of skin for Questions 23-25.

Anatomy and Physiology,Chapter 13 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 13 Test

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 14 Vocabulary

Anatomy and Physiology, Chapter 14 Test

***Note: Question #3 on the Chapter 14 Test requires a basic diagram of a cell showing a few different organelles labeled with letters so the nucleus can be selected as the proper answer.

Sorry for the delay. Chapter 3 is up and ready to go!

  3. Lynne says:

These tests look really great! Do you have answer keys as well? Also, do you have any resources for the pictures/diagrams needed?

I really appreciate all the work you’ve done!

    Grace & Peace,
    Lynne

  4. admin says:

Hello, no I’m sorry. I posted previously that I do not have the answer keys. For most worksheets they are in order as you go through the chapter, so it’s fairly easy to correct on your own. For the tests, since I try to mix it up a bit, you’ll have to read through the chapter to find the answers.
    See the post here.

As for images for tests, I just go to yahoo or images.yahoo.com and search for what I need. I don’t leave them pasted into the tests when I post them because I don’t want to use them without permission and/or violate copyrights. They’re usually quite easy to find though.

    Good luck!

We are presently moving into Lesson 9 in Human Anatomy and Physiology and your vocabulary, tests, and links have been most helpful,. I am hoping you have the final 5 lessons (10-14) in the works. Please let me know if you anticipate these being made available as we move into the spring months of 2013. Thank you! Leslie

  6. admin says:

Sorry for the delay. I’m adding lessons 10 and 11 tonight. Will be adding the others as I get them done.

  7. Leslie says:

    Thanks so much!

  8. Ann Pace says:

I was wondering if you have the final three chapters/lessons ready? We will be starting lesson 12 in a week and I have really enjoyed the resources you have put together. Thanks!

  9. admin says:

Posting them for you tonight. We literally just finished Chapter 12 – I finished the test last night and my son just took it today. Chapter 13 vocab section is complete but it will probably be another week or two before the test is ready, then I’ll post both. The final chapter probably won’t be posted till mid-May (unless I happen to get it finished sooner – unlikely) because we’re taking a break for a couple of weeks before we finish up the year.

  10. Tammy says:

Thanks so much for sharing your hard work!

  13. Kim Webb says:

Thank you so very much. I was just wondering how I would find the time to create tests for these lessons right now. You are an answer to prayer!

  14. Tracy says:

These are amazing by the way! I wish the publisher had these! 🙂 Any idea what you will be studying next?

  15. admin says:

We’re actually doing Physical Science, but I won’t be creating materials for that.

  16. Sarah says:

Thank you so much for these anatomy tests. I was going to make some and found yours.

  17. Brandy says:

I’m trying to use your links for apologia anatomy but I don’t have microsoft office. Is there any way to be able to open and use these links with out office?

  18. admin says:

There’s a program called “Open Office” that is free to download, and you can basically use it like Microsoft Office. Maybe give that a try.

  19. Laura says:

Are there answers for these tests?

  20. admin says:

    No. Sorry.

  21. Brenda in Croatia says:

Thanks for sharing all of your work. It would take me a long time to produce these tests, yet I value having a standard way of measuring my child’s understanding.

  22. Kristen says:

Thank you SOOOOO much for posting these! I started Apologia this year with my olders (gr. 5 & 4) and found after 2 chapters that I just didn’t feel they were retaining anything. One a whim I thought I’d search online before making up my own test (time is always limited, right?!) and I found your site. WONDERFUL tests/ materials. I will be passing these on to my friend who also does Apologia and has been making up her own tests. Thanks, thanks, thanks!

  23. Heather Hackett says:

I am studying A&P with my 4 yo, 7 yo, and 14 yo. My little ones just need the basics and hands on activities but my older one clearly needs more to study and be held accountable for retaining and understanding. You are such a blessing to share your incredible work with other Christian homeschooling families. Thank you so very much! The whole time I printed out this material I was literally praising God for your hands, mind and hard work. I am asking Him to pour out a blessing on you for your generosity!

  24. Misty says:

Thank you so very much for sharing these. What a lot of work. I can’t thank you enough.
